A Pink Wanderer With A Purpose

My best friend is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. In support of her fundraising efforts for breast cancer research, I've created a one-of-a-kind pink Wanderer artwork and will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the auction.

As a former medical researcher, this cause is particularly close to my heart. Every bid will help fund research that improves treatments, outcomes and support for those affected by breast cancer.

Founded by Mum & Dad team, Naomi & Adnan, Tree Of A Kind was born out of our love of woodwork, design and decorating sustainably. Operating out of our Sutherland Shire, NSW based workshop, everything is 100% designed and handmade by us at Tree Of A Kind.

Adnan is an established parquetry and timber floor installer and finisher, learning the artisanal trade from his father, who learnt from his father before him. With over 20 years experience, he has an immense appreciation of timber and the stories that their grains tell. Often spending his 'down time' in the workshop breathing life into ideas, family members have been lucky recipients of one off pieces that he has created.

Naomi's journey towards Tree Of A Kind was a little less direct. Holding a doctorate in Medical Research and a keen sense for adventure and challenge, she forged a career in skin cancer and corneal diseases.

What began as an idea to bring a unique sustainable alternative to Christmas Trees, our mission has grown to recover and reuse waste timber from the timber flooring industry. We transform this timber into something beautiful to wear or use as functional pieces of décor, whilst allowing the timber to tell its own unique story through it’s grain.

We believe that sustainable does not mean sacrificing design and beauty, rather challenging the 'traditional' whilst giving something to future generations to savour and enjoy.
